I have for sale a superb example of Douglas Hayward's bespoke work from 1976.
It is a wool suit jacket with the wider lapels of that era, just over 4", in a John Hardy wool and would look great with black trousers or jeans.
The condition is excellent, I already own a 1974 example that I wear myself, although I could lose a few pounds for a better fit! :eusa_doh:
If you Google Doug Hayward you will get a sense of this charismatic tailor to the stars including Michael Caine, Roger Moore and Terence Stamp.
Two 1980's suits sold recently reached over £300.
This jacket is from the golden age of the '70s and I am asking £225 here before putting it on Ebay.
Post free in the Uk but please ask me if postage abroad is required

Description Black with silver grey pinstripe In John G Hardy fabric
1976
I've marked as a 40" but please check measurements carefully as this is a bespoke jacket and therefore giving a generic chest size is difficult.
Jacket Description Single breasted 2 button front, 3 button cuff with 2 working, twin rear vent, 3 outside & 3 inside pockets
armpit to armpit 21”
shoulder to cuff 24”
shoulder to shoulder 17.5”
armpit to cuff 16”
top collar to hem 32.5”
across waist 19”
Faults Very faint discolouration at top of sleeve lining
