FS: Schott Perfecto 618, sz. 42

Schott Perfecto. Size 42.

€350 plus shipping (from EU). IBAN or PP/FF.

INFO
Best 618 I ever in my entire & whole life ever saw!
Thick-ass leather - I mean, just look at how them sleeves got shaped - with ton of grain & character & all that shit that got us into this hobby.

Now combine this kind of leather with the best fitting Perfecto Schott has ever came up with; Long sleeves, short back, wide shoulders. You know how people here say it's how you wear it, not what you wear? Yeah, no, it's not. It's what you wear and this jacket wants you to look good.

CONDITION
Worn, needless to say, but all the signs of use are purely cosmetical and are manifested as creases (or rolls, in this case) and as revelation of gray undertones around edges/seams, where the surface finish has been worn away. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Inside / patch pocket has been reinforced on the inside and the bottom with a thick textile fabric of some kind.

Other than that, not a single thing wrong with it. Leather is perfect, ditto for the hardware, pockets, etc. Lining is all good. No odor.

SIZE
Textbook 42 and like I said, the best fitting Perfecto I ever had. The numbers are...
  • Chest width (P2P): 59 cm / 23"
  • Waist width (max.): 53 cm / 21"
  • Shoulders width (back): 53 cm / 21"
  • Sleeve length (outside curve): 66 cm / 26"
  • Back length (without collar): 59 cm / 23"
MISC
Shipping from the European Union. If you have any questions whatsoever, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks!

2 questions:

1. Is it possible to see front and back picks of someone wearing it?

2. I’m ignorant of how this goes with overseas shipping. I’m in the US. I don’t know what IBAN or PP/FF means. How does one go the transaction?

Sorry. I’m a newbie.

Sorry. Save yourself the trouble. I just looked on the Schott website. That size is going to be too small for me, and I have a long torso as well. Sorry to trouble you.

Not to convince you of anything of course as it is a very short jacket that most people won't find comfortable wearing but using current Schott sizing chart as a reference to their older jackets is counterproductive. I would go as far as to say that one of the charts really apply and not even the model numbers guarantee anything at all.

Broadly speaking, encompassing all the eras of the Perfecto, the 618 and the 118 and the 613 should all be considered one same jacket as Schott had changed & altered the pattern for them so many times in just the last 30 years that all the initially intended distinctions between them got blurred into one another.

I have now had 613's longer and boxier than the 118's and 618's in the same tagged size that fit three actual sizes apart.

The only way to be sure would be to know the exact production year of the jacket and have the correct size chart from that year but other than that, completely ignore the model number and unlearn everything you think you know about Schott jackets.

Look for the size you wear, mind the numbers provided by the seller but more importantly, look at the leather, the finish, grain, etc. You won't find a better jacket than a good Schott Perfecto but finding a truly good Schott Perfecto isn't as simple as it sounds.
