I purchased this jacket in 1998 and worn frequently at the time. It has been hanging in my closet, for the past 15 years and worn rarely. Keep in mind that clothing styling at the time was for a much more relaxed fit. I think Bean offered these jackets for about 5 years in a few variations. This is the dark brown that I describe as a dark walnut. Just too large for me now as I have dropped about 20 lbs over the intervening years. For reference, I'm 5'9" and 138 lbs. 38" chest. I'm guessing it would fit a 40-42" chest much better.
Constructed in USA
The leather is goat skin. Soft and largely broken in
I rate overall condition 8/10 and should last for years of wear.
Lining is acetate
No tears or rips. No loose threads. Stitching remains solid.
Some minimal signs of wear at collar and top and bottom of placket.
Talon Zipper and snaps are perfect
Wool at cuffs and hem are still like new. Don't know how they made this so well
One interior pocket
Hand warmer pockets behind the large snap closure front pockets. Pockets are all lined.
Non-smoking home
