For sale is this beautiful repro. B-6 Flight Jacket made by Eastman Leather Clothing. Overall, in great shape with some nice age-wear throughout. Horsehide has great, subtly reddish patina. Sheepskin is great. All snaps and zips work perfectly.
This jacket came to me secondhand, so I am not sure about when this was put out by ELC. I’m thinking it’s a couple of years old (anyone in the know, please chime in). Size is 36. I wear a 38 suit jacket, and this jacket fits me great—trimmer and snugger somewhat than what would’ve likely been comfortable in a 1940s cockpit, but perfect for daily wear. If you’re a size 38 (and slender) and you’re looking for a clean, trim fit, then this is for you.
As to wear, the biggest noteworthy area is the right sleeve cuff, which has a small (less than dime-sized) tear near the button. This does not go all the way through the sheepskin lining and it does not affect the operation of the cuff button. The leather is aged somewhat, so you’ll see some darker areas on the lower front of the jacket near the pockets. There is also some light wear to the underside of the sleeves.
All in all, this is fantastic jacket. I’m sorry to see it go, but I don’t wear it often enough to justify the closet space. Price is $725 shipped CONUS. Overseas delivery will cost extra. Please ask any and all questions before purchasing because I don’t take returns on clothing items.
