Hey everyone, I'm doing a little hat spring cleaning. Up for grabs are 3 fedoras that I simply don't use anymore.
1. Biltmore Royal 7 3/8 - 7 1/2 — 1 year old, moss green, black ribbon. The ribbon is quite unique because it lacks an actual "bow" instead it's simply a double loop. That's actually why I bought it, and I plan to put the same style ribbon on my Fed IV—it looks a tad dressier. Honestly, this color and ribbon is the only one I've ever seen like it. The felt is very soft and fine. I am in fact sad to part ways with it, however, it's simply too small for me. It's marked a 7 1/2 or 60cm but it will fit just fine on a true 7 3/8 or 59cm. The brim measures 2", crown is 4 3/4" while bashed. New price was over $175, asking $90obo.
2. Stetson The Sovereign 7 1/8 — I have never worn this hat, it was for my wife originally whom never wore it either. It's in next to mint condition. The felt is BLACK, very black, and in perfect condition besides the dust you see on it
. The pictures don't accurately show how black it truly is. The quality is amazing here, super top notch. Felt is super fine, holds it's shape incredibly well, and the sweatband is probably the highest quality leather I've seen in a hat so far. It's high grade leather and about 1.25mm thick. It's hard to imagine that Stetson used to make hats this nice. It's probably from the 80's? I have no idea, but it's my guess. Brim is a welted stingy at 1 1/2" and the crown is 5". Asking $70obo.
3. Dobbs 7 1/2 — Charcoal gray. This is probably from the 50's. It's well worn, but the felt is in great shape, holds it's shape perfectly. After a good cleaning and new lining it will look new. Crown is 5", brim is a welted 1 3/4"; VERY snappy. Asking $50obo.
If anyone is interested in taking all of them, I can do $200.
