AMF black label Harley Perfecto. Size 38/40.

Jacket is in great condition. Everything works. Love the jacket just have no time to wear it.

$100 plus shipping in the CONUS. Just looking to give someone a good deal that will actually wear the jacket.

That's a sweet jacket, I had one similar a few years back, a little different as far as features but similar.

Hi @ksozay
Very nice looking jacket, I am interested. Any idea how old, and what kind of leather? Also, can't exactly make out the measurements does this seem about right?

shoulder 17.5
pit to pit 19
back 24
sleve 24+

What are the snaps on the inside originally for? Lots of questions for a $100 jacket that looks pretty cool. I appreciate your patience.
Peace

Hey @jonesy86

I'd guess this is from the late 60s early 70s based on when AMF made these for Harley and the color of the tag being black. I am fairly certain the white label version that came before it spanned the 60s.

Steer hide leather and it's medium weight. I'd say it's about the same weight as the Schott perfectos I have from around this time (Steer on label).

Honestly, the best part of this jacket is the leather and the kidney panel (duck tail) at the back. It's really a nice unique touch for this jacket.

On measurements - 18" across shoulder, measured it relaxed as I wanted to be conservative with the measuring. 24" for both the sleeve length and the back length. I'm going to double check the back length JUST to make sure this isn't the front length. :) 19" pit to pit. Again, measuring relaxed so these are going to be a bit conservative but better safe than sorry.

Just wanted to pass a tip along, and this thread seems like a good place for it.

I've purchased and sold loads of clothing items over the years, including leather jackets.

I recommend using a tailor's tape measure to take accurate measurements of any garment. This is because a tailor's tape measure can follow the contours of a jacket or other clothing item much better than a rigid carpenter's metal tape measure or a wooden yardstick (which I've seen some eBay sellers use). Tailor's tape measures are widely available and cheap.

Also, close-up photos of the end of the tape measure are not worthwhile, because the viewer can't tell where the measurement begins.

Good feedback. Appreciated!
