Frankenpattern for tea dress

I am considering doing that, combining an appropriate shirt and skirt.

I have been looking for the perfect tea dress forever (in modern patterns, because I can't find here those vintage ones). I decided to do something about it. I want to do this so much, I may draft it from scratch, and put all my pattern drafting books to the test! I'd rather not though...

I have a ton of shirts and skirts that could be combined. Has anyone done this? Any sewing tips or suggestions? Any style advice?

Any ideas about the perfect tea dress?
