Hi all,

I’m reluctantly selling my 1942 Irvin jacket. This is a fairly rare large size 6 complete with original zips, collar elastic and escape whistle. The jacket it in great condition considering it’s age and I regularly wore it in dry weather while out in my MGB and can be worn with respect on any occasion.

I’ve included a fit shot. For reference I am 6’3 and 43 inch chest and as you can see it fits well.

I’m only selling because the MG is on the market so it will become a wardrobe ornament and it deserves more than that.

I would like around $1000 Australian dollars ($720 US or £560) or best offer via PayPal delivered anywhere.

Happy to provide further info via PM.

Actual numbers to follow.

Thanks Tweedy. It’s a bind to sell it as it is my grail jacket but it my area of Australia is way to warm for this fella so it will just sit in the wardrobe.

That's close to my top Grail, too, but I'd be terrified of wearing an original! And that's a great price for a rare larger original Irvin in this condition.

Pic of MGB? (My grail car, if I ever go the four wheel route!)

Gosh, if it were a size 7, I would buy it. I am not really buying leather anymore but I could be talked into an original Irvin.

Looks like I could probably fit in this but don't want to risk it..............

This should sell........what a beauty!!!!!

Looks great Kunja. I struggled to sell the jacket as I loved it but it looks the business on you and you appreciate the assumed provenance of the jacket so I’m happy for you. Don’t know what your winter weather is like but by the time you maybe get an RAF submariner under it you will be snug, warm and happy as a clam!
