Fit pic and questions - Lewis Leathers super monza tight fit

I'm don't consider myself to be a skinny man - I'm a 42in chest. But Lewis' jackets really do look much better on me in tight fit.

This jacket has a few quirks which I wanted to share and discuss with you.

First of all there are creases on the front of the jacket around the armpits which I don't understand. Does that mean the jacket is too tight around the chest? (It feels fine). Or did they not use enough leather for the front? (There isn't similar creasing on the back of the jacket.)

Secondly it looks like where the jacket zips up at the hem, one side is longer than the other. Is this a big problem for a £800+ jacket?

Finally, the elbow patches appear to have been 'cinched' in order to make this more of a tight fit jacket. I don't think this is an imperfection but it looks a little weird. Overall though I think this thing is badass.

Thoughts?

I think it looks pretty darn good. It is a bit tight around the chest but if you size up you'll lose the tailored fit everywhere else. The misalignment at the hem has been discussed here before and is only a problem if it bothers you (at least in my opinion).
I'd have a hard time sending it back for either reason tbh.

That jacket looks perfect to me!

Creases on the front are normal, you will always get them more or less to some extent.
Unless you go for spandex or just paint yourself black they are unavoidable.

The lapels not joining perfectly even at the bottom is also pretty normal/common on cross zips. On some jackets they are perfectly aligned, on others you might have 1" difference between both ends.
I would say that what you have on this jacket is definitely what i would consider normal. Most of my cross zips look the same or more uneven.

Not sure what you mean about the elbow patches, they look normal to me.

Here is a non-tight fit version. As you can see, the elbow patches don't have those folds.

There is indeed a difference, but i can't say i would call one better or worst...

Have a look at the bottom hem on these:

My Vanson looks just like yours, slightly uneven:

So does my Bootlegger:

I see what you mean about the elbow patches. Maybe they are made the same way for the standard fit and the tight fit so requiring to be folded a bit for the tight? Anyway I think they’ll flatten out with wear.

Nice jacket ;)
