Fine "Disney Hats" Fedora, GOODBYE !

Time to memorialize this fedora of mine on the Lounge, before it leaves my hands and goes to eBay heaven.


Made by DISNEY - NEW YORK -- no relation to Uncle Walt, of course. (Why are earlier hats from this maker so hard to find?)


From the early(?) 1950s. Very lightweight, just like those featherweight Borsalinos of the '50s. Cotton twill ribbon. No lining, never was any.
Size 7 1/8. Nice color, great condition.

Size 7 1/8, I just may be able to slide that onto my knoggin. Here I go again. It's a beauty of a hat that would be perfect for mt next trip to Disneyland.:eusa_clap

was there a label in the crown at one point?

There might have been a small oilskin label once. I've seen them on British and French fedoras; the labels are usually oval.

lightweight hats (lightweight felts and straws) often have such labels. I have a number with small circles of embroidered silk glued to the felt in that position ... all on their way back to UK, so no pics.
