This post is a review.
Short version: An Aero clone, made in Japan, cost less than Aero, new or used.
Long version:
I got this jacket used from Mercari. The used price was about the same as an used Aero. Brand new price is a less than a new Aero.
The pattern is very similar to the Aero pattern. Smaller neck hole, very boxy body. Size 42 is 24" P2P and 23" hem, very boxy body cut.
The horsehide is really nice, looks like CXL but not stiff at all. About the same weight. Lining is sateen and very thick, same ones the Japanese use for their military jackets. Stitching is Rainbow Country like, one of the best out there period.
Eight Leathers only has three different pattern designs, a long half belt, a clean aviator (Bootlegger), and a car coat. Probably the most bang for the buck jacket I came across in the past two years. If you are ok with the boxy cut with smaller neck hole pattern, these jackets are the best for the money.
