Easy Aces

I know it's here somewhere, a thread on the SUPERB radio show Easy Aces, but for the life of me I can't find it. I hope no one will be upset with a second one, but I need to gush on about how much I love this show! Goodman and Jane Ace's writing and voice acting shine in all the episodes I've listened too. So much so I went to one of my favorite on-line bookstores Powell's.com to find books written by Goodman Ace. It's a nice change of pace to other fine old radio shows we know and love, it's all calm dialog and has to be listened to carefully as to not miss Jane's funny malapropisms!lol Have a listen at the Internet Archive.

I'm a very big fan of the Aces -- always glad to meet another! I used to listen to Goodman Ace doing commentaries on NPR back in the '70s, and worked backwards from there in discovering his earlier radio work. He wrote a book in 1970 discussing "Easy Aces," which is well worth looking up, as are his columns from the '40s and '50s as radio-TV critic for the Saturday Review of Literature.
