Recently, we toured the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum complex. As "Ike" had such a successful military career before he was elected president (twice), there's a ton of stuff to see and history to enjoy there.

But, as this is the World War Two portion of our wonderful Fedora Lounge, I'm including a link to some of the pics I took there.

We were invited to the 100th Anniversary celebration at the Eisenhower museum. They had a troop train with WWII veterans, pulled by the Daylight locomotive. We flew out to greet them as they arrived. There was a big Living History incampment, we got a ride from the airport in a DUKW. Every one was dressed in either WWII uniforms, or, I Like Ike 50s cloths. It was a really fun week end!
