I opened the image in Photoshop, it appears the Borsalino lettering has been pasted in.
I think so. the impostors appear the legends like Stemson, Borsallino, Resistool or Made in USA, put this legends on chinese hats, thence, people wich do not know the real trade brands buy its in a few money. Cheers ¡¡¡¡

I'd say that the name Borsalino is added to the photo, too. Look at how the gold is uniform in color, even in the shadow. The logo's gold color never changes. Is anyone going to call this guy on it? (curiously his feedback is 100%)

Thinking on it further, the seller's feedback would lead one to believe that if he has this in his possession, the logo would be on there. Maybe what I'm seeing are sharpening artifacts in the photo. Anyhow, the overlapping sweatband seam and baseball cap size tag indicate a cheap copy at best.

Well, I don't know about the hat, but this seller seems to have a lot of very nice, very legitimate, high quality vintage items for sale. They have 2 other mens hats, wool trilbys. I would tend to give the benefit of the doubt here. The item is obviously a mediocre quality wool felt, but it's being sold as such. I imagine this seller, like most people, doesn't know anything about hats. The question is, has Borsalino started licensing their name to some Chinese knock off outfit?

Knock offs and forgeries are a huge business for China... haven't shopped Canal Street for fedoras, but perhaps they are making a strong enough comeback to gain space next to the Larry Veeton purses.

I guess the next question is this: has anyone ever seen a Borsalino manufactured in "medium" instead of actual sizes? I sure haven't.
