I look at it as a little granule of New York civilization migrating out to the wild untamed hinterlands, to bring a small modicum of true culture to the semi barbaric wilderness. lol
But seriously folks, I'm sure the folks out there will enjoy it, maybe more than the jaded people in Manhattan. They want to take it back to 1930's motif. It was a little over-modernized for my tastes. In 1970, when I used to live around the corner, it was a regular Greek owned diner. In the last few years it had become a sheeshy fancy schmancy semi gourmet joint. I dunno, I like diners to be diners: burgers, omelettes, shakes, regular people at the counter. But that's the great thing about diners, you can pick them up and drag them 2,000 miles and plunk them down, and voila! A new diner. I wish decommissioned Gothic churches and old Post Offices, etc., could be picked up and moved to where someone can make creative use of them.

Go West, Old Diner!

I can't find the story now, but I saw on the news a couple of months ago that another historic diner was brought to Utah, from either NY or Philly, I can't remember which.

These diners may be moving to the rural West, but at least they'll be loved and cared for!

hopefully.
What seems to happen all to often is that these places get moved, the restoration starts and then the money runs out and the place just sits. This one is small enough, though that it should fare a bit better. Less to move, less to restore, less overhead to run.
