I don't want to come off as too critical, but if that painting is representative of his oeuvre, I'm not crazy about the guy.

Also the day of the Columbine Massacre.

Hey - I was a hippie back in the 60s - what did I miss on April 20th?

It's probably more well-known now than then.

420, 4:20 or 4/20 (pronounced four-twenty) refers to consumption of cannabis and, by extension, a way to identify oneself with cannabis subculture. The date 4/20 is sometimes referred to as "Weed Day" or "Pot Day".[1]

The term was coined from a group of teenagers at San Rafael High School in San Rafael, California, United States in 1971

Just imagine what the world would have been like, had he been a better artist.
Just to quote Eddie Izzard: "Damn I can't get the bloody trees right, I am going to kill everubody in the world!"

Don't worry about being too critical, the Austrian critics didn't like him either. He was a pretty good painter though. He could do a 3 bedroom apartment in one afternoon, two coats.

Hitler as an artist was a competent draftsman but that was pretty much the limit of his artistic talent. Actually his original dream was to become an architect rather than an artist. According to August Kubizek, Hitler's former roommate as a young man in Linz, Austria, the future Führer would talk his ear off ad nauseum about his grandiose plans to rebuild Linz and Vienna.

He should have stuck with drafting. The perspective in the painting is OK, but the composition...where to begin?
