Ok..I know I am the queen of posting LA Times stuff, but this -really- deserves to be bookmarked.

It's technically a crime blog...but one from 50 years ago. They go through the archives and in many cases re-research long forgotten cases. They are up to 1958 starting tomorrow. I know....not -that- golden era....

But....he also goes on tangental subjects...many of which are much earlier.

This weeks include stuff about Los Angeles' first 'freeway' The Arroyo Seco Parkway c 1930's, and Julian Eltinge the most well known female impersonator of the teens....

Seriously Seriously good and novel stuff.

Go.

Interesting stuff Miss Neecerie. Thanks for posting! I especially found interesting the bit about the female impersonator. Somewhat difficult to imagine in the teens....
