Custom Aero CR too big in arms?

My custom brand new cafe racer from Aero just arrived. it looks great from the front, but the arms are massive near the shoulder. I don't think this is because of the gussets. I have other leather jackets with gussets where the arm hole stay fitted, without losing mobility.

This was $1,400, should I be concerned that this doesn't fit correctly? It feels like it's three sizes too large in the arms.

Thanks!

I does look odd. The elbow looks off as well. I have a custom made jacket made exactly like this to accommodate the shoulder and the elbow armour. Have a look if you have the armour pockets in your jacket. Get in touch with Aero. Will be a pain in the arse to send it back. Unless you take up gym or motorcycling.

A picture of the back would be good. It looks as if the back is also very massive.
This is what mine looked like and it was two sizes too big (for a trim fit)

It almost looks like they sewed two different sizes together? Id send it back, if you dont feel good about it you wont wear it and for 1400$ you should feel great about it.

From my conversations with Carrie from Thurston, the CR pattern is fuller in the upper back area to accommodate a fuller muscular chested/armed guy. The board racer is a lot slimmer in the upper arms and back.

I have the same jacket in cxl fqhh and it looked big at first but once it broke in it looks better. What hide is that. It looks quite soft so not too much to break in.

I don’t think it looks bad unless you were going for a trim fit. I have to size down one in Aero’s CR and Sheene, even then the shoulders/upper arm still make me look more broad than I am. It’s a tough fit for me. My current Aero CR is in my normal size and it’s definitely a bit big, but it’s my go to jacket for layers on the bike.
I’d venture to guess that with some break in, your jacket will “mellow out” a bit visually in the upper arms, but that’s a gamble if you aren’t loving it and not what you envisioned for overall fit..

Board racer for a trim fit, but you give up some mobility.

Wait… I may have to retract my opinion of the fit.. I was looking at Mr Proper’s side profile and mistook it for one of Conteph’s pics. Yeah, I think the fit is off for sure.
