Custom 40s Leather ( new pic link of jacket that inspired mine)

This is a jacket i had made in Melbourne,Australia by mars leather
its loosely based on a jacket worn by Lucian K Truscot during WW2

It's a lovely jacket. What type of leather is it? Does it have side pulls too? What lining is it? Inside pockets?

no side pulls
it has a slight taper to the waist and then a slighter flair below the half belt
the leather is an orange brown kangaroo hide
tough as nails but with a great drape
the pockets are very big and rooomy,silk in the sleeves (not satin) and cotton for the body
(strange the cotton is wearing faster than the silk)

Mars do great work
This jacket was made from photo referance only
(mainly the issue of Life mag with Truscott on the cover)
The dark brown jacket was the 1st one,this went thru a few minor revisions and then the orange jacket was more or less a copy of that
Mars have made me 2 Indy jackets ( as well as a jacket for Conceited Ape of cow fame)
