Crush Cap Questions

Okay, I have a pretty old replica 50-Mission Crush Cap. It's going on 15 years and the leather bill is cracking. Should I worry? Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to repair/stop the cracking? Should I leave it alone? As I said, it's a replica, but a well-made one and has served me well for a long time. Any help or responses would be welcome.

mink oil

Save $$$ on repairs, leave as is, if cracks are small, just coat/treat it with "mink oil" I wouldn't worry, just don't get it wet or out in the sun much

As I've said a number of times, the people on this board are helpful and wonderful. Thank you all for your suggestions. I will pick up some Pecards and/or mink oil right away and take care of my crushers...all of them.
