Good Morning!
Not sure if anyone would wish to see this but this is a Cricket brand bomber/aviator style jacket designed by Nigel Cabourn in the early 80's.I bought it from Fenwicks in Bond Street in their 1984 Spring Sale and remember paying circa £85....People thought I was mad(How much!) but I enjoyed wearing it for a few years.Pretty worn and faded now with a re-surfaced collar but I still like the mix of plain and patterned lining, though not its blouson style.I don't know the leather type.It is very soft and not very durable.I bought the Aero Dustbowl in FQHH from Aero's sale section last November and have been fortunate to have been able to wear it most days since, so it is developing well.Photo enclosed for comparison purposes.
Regards

Thanks Navatsea
Probably not bad for a 30 year old jacket.Nigel Cabourn doesnt appear to do much in leather apart from a Coastal Command sheepskin jacket made in Scotland apparently

The 'Coastal Command' jacket is the subject of some controversy. You should read the Aero Trial Narrative thread.
The jacket was made by Aero Leather under the auspices of Will Lauder, now of Alexander Leathers, who has been convicted of crimes against his former employer.

Thanks for the update Big J-I have re-read the Aero Trial Narrative thread but see no reference to Nigel Cabourn or Coastal Command jackets
Best wishes
Peter

Those brown lambskin bomber jackets we're very popular in the mid 1980's - I remember them well. Your new Aero is much more tasteful.
