Considering how they run a "news" item every year on how you should not give major tidbits of personal information to telemarketing scams, there seems to be ample evidence of individuals who reach 65+ years of age without learning not to talk to strangers.

I actually like to lead them on by replying and in the subject box write something like "I would like to help you"

Then when they write back to me all excited I write something along the lines of "gee it's really annoying when people waste your time isn't it" I usually go on and insult their parentage. Gives me a kick everytime!

I write back and say that if they were to deposit millions in my account, I'd keep every penny ... and then report them to whichever 'African dictator' they're trying to 'save' themselves from.

Mind you, I'm well aware that every word of their 'autobiography' is nonsense.

Better make sure that the account you give them doesn't have a single red cent in it. They would probably steal even 5 cents from the account given the chance.:eusa_doh:

I don't give them the account number, I only say that if they were to deposit the cash, I would keep all of it. They never write back after that. lol

Ha! I've gotten a few of those Nigerian emails. I always shake my fist and say "I'm gonna report you!" then I just delete it because I don't know who to contact.[huh]

I actually got a new twist on one a few days ago. A man in dire search of a wife. How, romantic. Yah, like I'd fall for that one. Just let me send you money orders dear wife, you deposit them in your bank accounts, send the money to me, and then I can come join you!!
