Cleaning advice for a Crusher Cap?

I wasn't sure if I should put this into the big Crusher thread, given that it's a different and very specific sub-topic. Plus, it might get buried.

Anyhow, I have a vintage cotton twill tan officers visor cap. I was wondering if anyone had any safe suggestions for cleaning the twill part.
