Chinese Lacquer Cigarette case set

I have this black lacquer cigarette set. It has an ashtray, hinged cylindrical cigarette case and rectangular match box. The outside is black lacquer with a floral pattern and the inside is blue. The name CHINA is handpainted on the botton. Does anyone know anything about antique cigarette case sets? I don't have digital camera so I can't show you what it looks like.

It's hard to say for sure what you have without a picture. I see these often in cloisonne - a three or four piece set: matchbox, ashtray (1 or 2) and a cigarette box. The lacquer ones don't hold up as well and even the cloisonne ones are often found with damage. They were popular exports from China to the American market in the 1920's. Hope this helps.
