So today I was struck with the urge to buy a bow tie. So I hoofed it on downtown to pick through those few vintage clothing stores that I can find, and picked one up. And a couple pocket squares, but that's not the interesting part.
While I was there, another fellow was looking at various bits of jewellry when I wandered up to the counter. We exhcanged a few words and commented somewhat on the selection, and then I noticed them.
A pair of pearly links, all the way through. Closer inspection revealed what appeared to be a pair of cufflinks carved from solid mother-or-pearl. They're definitely not resin, and I'm told that they're dated at least to 1906. Cool. I'm happy.
Anyone seen anything like this before?
