That first one just makes me think of this:

I like how compact and space-ship looking (like George Jetson's flying car!) the first one is, but I think it wouldn't be very practical to drive on snow or ice. Seems like it would only be feasible to operate in Southern California.

I love the reference of the second one being perhaps a view of what cars will look like in 1960. I had a 1960 Chevy and am rather thankful it didn't look like that!

You think it looks like a space-ship, and I think it looks like a Reliant Robin -- not as incompatible as one might think.

50 Years From Now

I will make one prediction about the future that I know will be right, 50 years from now, it will look completely different from what the experts of today say it will! Which reminds me, where's my Jet Pack? They promised me 50 years ago!

So the lesson is: if you're going to drive a three-wheeled car, you need to have a couple of passengers with you to tip it upright when you (inevitably) roll over. One can't always rely on the kindness of strangers. Other than that it's a great car.

God, this is great. I love predictions of the future from the past. Reminds me of this prediction of future fashion:
