I have just received a fantastic vintage Japanese souvenir jacket from the Korean War era that I purchased on eBay (see eBay description and pictures below):

Submitted for your approval is a rare NOS 1950-1953 vintage Korean War 67th Recon Squadron Japan souvenir tour jacket. Was stored many years in a seabag. All I have done was to press it with my Haan portable steamer. About as nice as you will find out there. NO stains, mothing, & some lose threads. Impossible to upgrade condition wise.

It is, as described, in fantastic condition, but smells very musty.

The original owner thinks that dry-cleaning may cause the colours to run.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to clean it without the colors running or it shrinking/losing shape please?

Cheers,
Dave

Sorted - I picked it up from the dry cleaners today and it cleaned up beautifully. No running of colours, and the musty smell is completely gone. It looks and smells brand-new. :D
