Buffalo leather duster

Hey guys,

I was seriously considering purchasing this leather duster but I thought I'd get a second opinion from the experts. Is this a good deal? Is it quality stuff? Any thoughts welcome.

It looks reasonably well made. So, that much actual leather alone is probably worth $160 BUT will it be too heavy to wear comfortably.
If you use a leather weather proofing will the leather change color?

Wow. If that leather is of any substance at all it would have to weigh 15-20 lbs. If it absorbed water in a shower it'd gain a lot of weight! My experience with buffalo is that it is fairly open grained and consequently absorbent.

Looks like they have the same coat in black cowhide for $130.00. That would be lighter...
