Borsalino Marque Grande Luxe 5X soft short velour fedora. The open crown is 4 1/2 inches and the overwelted brim is two (2) inches wide. Excellent condition all the way around. The size is 5 1/2 Punti or approximately 7 1/4 US. Outside/natural light show the true color.

I'm interested. I often fit a 7 1/8 that is a bit on the bigger side, or a 7 1/4 if it is a tad tight. How do you think this would work for me? P.S. Thanks for posting photos taken in natural light.

Borsalinos, particularly those (such as this hat) not made for the US market tend to run a little on the small side.

My hat sizing device usually measures hats a bit smaller than they actually are. I’d say this hat is just between a 7 1/8 and 7 1/4.

@mark balen, i think you are going to love this hat. Borsa MGL is a wonderful hat with such a nice velvet feel. This is a nice mid-brim one with a great overwelt and Caffe is a super color.

Still makes me smile, Max, remembering how much you wanted a MGL and how hard you were looking. The “Silver Fox” i called it, twin to Jeff’s, @bowlerman, and a great example of the different proportions and treatments Borsa did with some models, like with Gorasgu.
