Hate to say it, but... maybe he shouldn't have been dividing his attention between flying an airplane and operating a hand-held camera?

Damn shame. The article says the plane flipped upside down, but it looks more like a nose over in the pics.

Left it too late to pull back on the stick during the landing run? Probably happened a lot on these babies during basic training. I hate seeing this stuff just the same.

I'm going to be watching my local IMAX for the 'Legends of Flight' film. Lots of classic props flying around beautifull scenery is just my cup of tea.

Talbot, I agree! If nothing more, this incident brought to our attention this IMAX airplane movie! I might have missed it altogether if I hadn't seen the news item about the crash! A silver lining!

Gosh, a Kaydet is an easy plane to fly and not terribly difficult to land unless one is forced to land in a cross-wind. Well, I've been known to land one three or four times on a single run when foolishly attempting a wheel-landing rather than the proper three-point. OOPS OOPS! DOWN!

The narrow landing gear and high CG make ground loops a problem for the inexperienced, but a nose-flip?

Perhaps he was trying the keep it level for too long in the landing run to help the camareman in front?
