I enjoy buying old records from the thrift store (they are all 50 cents each!), and it is easy to find old records.
While browsing the records section the other day, I picked up several records, (one of them was from the 20s!), however, the most mysterious record I found was a record by Bob Lehmann.
It is also signed by Bob Lehmann, and on the back, there is an address in Florida, it's hard to read, as lots of the ink wore off, but it seems to say the town is Pomp Bch Fla, which is the shortened version of Pompano Beach Florida.
I couldn't find any info about Bob Lehmann online. I only found some other of the same records, a few of them signed too. I did, however, find a person named Bob Lehmann in Pompano Beach Florida on a Google Images search, but it seems this Bob Lehmann is the CEO of some business, and he appears to be too young. Could it be the Bob Lehmann organist had a son named Bob Lehmann jr?
One very odd thing is that the label is Capital records, not Capitol records.
I wonder why he didn't get famous, he seems to have been a pretty skilled organist.
Has anyone here heard of Bob Lehmann? Do you have any more info about him?
Photos of the record.
