Best Way to remove pen mark on Russet leather jackets?

I use a small blowtorch and don't get too close to the leather - the ink will lift off.

Just joking. More info, please. Where is the mark? What kind of ink or pen? If it's in a prominent area? Can you live with it? Leather is workwear, it's meant to get scuffed and marked with wear.

If it's blotches of ink from a leaky pen you can try leather cleaning fluid, Lexol make some - test in a small hidden area. I have also used soap and water and mild solvents to remove paint and other things. Always test this to ensure you're not removing the finish too.
