Hello all,
I've been studying vintage men's swim trunks with the intention of creating a personal pattern, so I can make my own. I was fortunate enough to find some Sears vintage-cut 1950s-era swim trunks at the thrift store, with an elasticized waistband in the back, a zipper fly, and button-closure. (Only 99¢!)
However, I prefer the look of half-belted swim trunks. I've been looking for reference photos just to understand simple things such as the way the half-belt is typically attached, and have only found two examples so far: 1, 2.
My request: does anyone own a pair of belted swim trunks, that they could take some reference photos of the waistband area? or, does anyone know of any good reference photos online? Thanks for the help.
