My new WWII reenacting impression happens to be Miss Florida Sunshine 1940. I am trying to find out more about beauty pagents of the era; includng Miss America. I need info about the different compittions, rules of clothing and so on.

Have you tried contacting the Miss America organization directly? Perhaps they can lead you in the right direction.
