Art or Fedora?

Many of you have given great advice to this hatless newbie......so I'll ask a couple more questions:

Not a which is better question...but which is more suited to me.

I am looking for a mid to dark grey,2 1/2 inch brim,C/teardrop crown around 4 1/2 inches high fedora...just a basic,40's 50's style.

Anyone know when Art will be back up and running?

What were Art's prices?

When I spoke to Art last week he was pouring his slab for his new house in Oregon. He said he hoped to have his hat shop up and running in Sept or Oct.

I will let Art comment on his hat price. I own hats from both of these hatters. Imho they both build one fine fedora. A quality hat at a fair price.

IMHO

I suggest you PM Art, he is a member. He has lots of the vintage hats in storage now, along with his hat making equipment. Art is in process of setting up home and shop in Oregon.

In the meantime, I would hunt for something on Ebay, or try one of the many online hat sources.
