I was going to send this to Binkie as a PM, but thought other Loungers might like to see an example of Deco architecture in Katoomba (NSW Australia).
When Binkie came to visit me last year he was particularly taken by a small apartment block in Katoomba. One of the apartments is now for rent. Yours truly had a look at it today & took a few sneaky pictures. If anyone's interested they are asking $265 a week (2 bedrooms, private garden, garage & shared laundry)
The private garden
Unfortunately the interior is painted green - I'd change that if I owned it.
This is the view from the bedroom balcony.
On a clear day the view looks like this
To be honest, if this was up for sale I would buy it in a heartbeat, but as a rental property I'm not sure I could live with all those green walls (and brand new cheapo kitchen).
