This statement was made by Police Scotland's press office in relation to the recovery of £144,000 of stolen Aero stock back in March:
"A 47 year old man has been charged followed alleged thefts of leather jackets from a business in Galashiels. He is scheduled to appear at Selkirk Sherrif Court on 6th January 2014."
Just to be clear, this is now officially an active case, and as such be careful what is posted in relation to it. Scots law prohibits the public identification of plaintiffs, or other details that could compromise the prosecution's case, prior to trial.
Doing so could constitute contempt of court and result in the FL's management, and potentially the poster, getting prosecuted. The bartenders are aware of this situation btw. Obviously, as the case develops, I'll do my best to keep you all up to speed about what's happening.
