Some trainee A2 jackets up for sale if anyone wants to pick one up for 1/2 the normal price on the Areo web site , I wasn't in the market for another A2, picked up one of the battered steer ones as a beater/work jacket can't beat the price don't imagine these will last last long at this price.

From what I can remember, it's chrome tanned. It's just varied in grain across various panels, a la the original jackets.

Thanks. It is chrome tanned 2.5oz, according to Aero.

Did you ask them that in an email, or find it on their site? I can't find descriptions of their leathers on their site, and was always under the impression that the Jerky HH was veg tanned. Thanks.

Thanks for spreading the word about the sale Thuggee. I checked it out and was relieved to see that the one jacket I would have been unable to resist, smooth mid weight horsehide with rust knits in size 48, had sold before I got there. I don't need another A-2 but it's hard to say no at that price!

They added one in my size, but the smooth seal steerhide is giving me pause. Anyone have any experience with that particular leather? It seems like an uncommon choice so I haven't been able to find many pictures or other information.

I need another jacket like I need a hole in the head but when I saw a A2 in the battered steer hide at these prices I couldn't resist, it's light weight lots of character, the leathers very soft but tough at the same time can see this only getting better with age think I've found my new favourite jacket
