since becoming interested in fedoras i've been studying the various styles that i see in movies. so far, my favorite is the hat warren beatty wears in the 1990 movie Dick Tracy. to my untrained eye, it looks like this hat has a little wider brim than typical and perhaps a little bit lower crown. does anyone know the brim and crown dimensions?
i'm not too crazy about the yellow color but a silver gray in that style might look pretty slick, even though i'm sure that no one will mistake me for warren beatty!
other observations:
the james caan character wore what to me looks like more of a "standard" fedora style, while the pruneface character has a hat with a bit narrower brim.
if anyone knows the dimensions of these fedoras i'm curious how my observations hold up.
