As long promised, here are a few photos of Cacklewack and my nuptials back in May!
So, the story goes: We met on the lounge sometime in late 2006 or early 2007. (I'm sure Cacklewack knows exactly, but I haven't searched back through threads to see.) Cacklewack's avatar at the time was a portrait of theologian Jonathan Edwards... This would not later serve me when a bunch of Portland Loungers decided to meet up for an antiques expo in early 2007 and I had to look for him!
Cacklewack had free tickets for said event via his employer. I was still new to town and was happy to meet up with some friendly folk for an afternoon of bargain hunting and merriment. Per usual, I was running late and texted Cacklewack when I arrived. He left the expo to come meet me at the entrance and give me my ticket, and the rest dear Loungers, is history now.
Through a series of continued Fedora Lounge events, Cacklewack and I fostered our friendship and eventually our relationship. Along the way we have met and socialized with many wonderful loungers. Thus, we owe it all to MK's Fedora Lounge! Toasts were made to that end during our small family reception.
The details (for those who care!): We did have a small, intimate wedding, something that suits both of our personalities. We were married at the old City Hall building in downtown Portland. Roughly 15 people were in attendance. I found a *lovely* gown from the 30's on the Dorthea's Closet website. Cacklewack wore a 30's suit he already had and I believe purchased off of ebay originally. Following the wedding we had a reception of roughly 20 people back at his Great Aunt's home. It was perfect for us - low key, very special, intimate and meaningful.
Also, are we the first met on F'Lounge and got married wedding?? Curious.

On to the photos!
Shaving in the parking garage.
Vows.
More vows.
Signing the papers.
Done deal.
Cutting cake!
(And,
for the clothes horses,
a few of the dress!)
That's all, folks!
