Hi all :)

I'm looking for a very good Leather-Jacket and i found Aeroleather and the Forum here. Great! Now i'm order one LHB in FQHH Cordovan. Look I knew so much like how the jacket when she is older.

Does anyone know where can I find pictures? I have found thousands of images but no Cordovan FQHH

I have a Bootlegger in Cordovan. This is the only photo I have of it, after about four months' wear.

Cordovan is rarer in the wild than the other Aero colours.

Hi Unwissender - welcome to the lounge - übrigens Unwissenheit ist keine Schande!
If are going to order your first Aero jacket its the best to go with colour cordovan - because its simply unique and -
if you ordering another jacket cordovan is a must have - just MHO

You like to see how cordovan age after several month of wear - here we go . . .

I seem to recall our good buddy Lear has an Aero Veste de Rallye in Cordovan as well. Might want to search for his posts to see if his pics are still up.

Edward already said (thank you Edward) ... "Cordovan is rarer in the wild than the other Aero colours" .... have to agree and no doubt - you'll like what you've ordered.

Maintenance ? ? ?

If you choose Front Quarter Horse Hide - maintain???... whats this ....oh yes, keep away from cat's claw :eeek:
- apart from that just wear your jacket and ask again in about 5-10 years...

LOL - yeah, but it IS like getting a new car and not waxing it the first day!
I fight the temptation always with this. But I can't always say that common sense prevails...

I wholeheartly agree. Aero's FQHH...needs nothing added. The oils and waxes...and the unique way it is tanned will last for years. No need to over kill.....;)

Don't lead us into temptation....

Yep - and also like getting new premium shoes and not waxing it the first day ...but today ...
I can resist the temptation and dare to walk miles in it before they get the first polish.

Hi Unwissender

Might not be much help, but here's the link to my cordovan FQHH (see page 2 of thread):

http://www.thefedoralounge.com/show...ese-pics-mean-I-can-also-do-Stockman-Cheyenne

I had posted to get opinions on fit, so the cordovan colour isn't showing at its best in these shots. I really must do some outdoor pics, to show aging and patina.

Edit: This is the best I can do for now. Aero Cordovan FQHH, before much wear:

This cordovan FQHH from an earlier swapped Aero:

Funny thing is that cordovan sometimes appears to be brown with reddish overtones, then at other times the reverse of this. It all depends on the light (time of day).

There are a few pictures of my Highwayman in vintage cordovan FQHH on pages two and three of this thread:

http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?55713-My-first-Aero-order-%28Highwayman%29/page2

These were all taken a few days after I received it in May so they are of a new jacket, the cordovan is a great colour. It's just starting to wear in now, I think I am one of the few people in the UK who is pleased that it is not such a hot summer this year.

This week I placed an order for my second Aero jacket, a fifties half belt deluxe in brown FQHH with a few mod's, hoping it gets to me by Christmas.
