Aero Natural CXL HH J-106/KotR/Indian Mix Biker Jacket

With regular wear I think most of the lighter weight linings on heavier weight leather jackets can end up wearing through in a relatively short period of time.
This naturally occurs more often around the hem of the jacket where it rubs on belts or trouser loops but also where there are prominent internal leather seams or high points of wear.
I have a couple of Aero Leather jackets with tweed linings and so far these aren’t showing signs of wear. I guess that not even these will be totally immune, however they should hopefully last a bit longer.

Which lining would you recommend instead of the one you got?

Honestly, cotton drill for hard wear - unless Aero themselves recommends something hardier

Ho, lads! Another year, another update:

I greased the jacket for the first time in years, with my proprietary formula that I've shared with some of you--still, a bit of nice marbling, and the leather is of course super soft after all these years.

Now, look what was happening to my lining already in 2024, and earlier:

Probably just 2 years in, I had to get the entire bottom lining replaced, because it was torn to shreds from daily wear; not impressed.

Behold, the state of affairs in early 2024:

By late 2024, it was even worse than the pictures below shows:

I ended up getting my local seamstress to replace the entire lining with cotton drill, although it's a shame, because one wants to avoid re-stitching the same lines on leather, as obviously, it's weakened when one does so. I would never ever get the expensive wool tartan lining again, nor would I recommend it for a "serious" leather jacket wearer.

Any questions? In the meantime, I'm still looking for recommendation for who might be able to make an veg-tanned, unfinished, 1.5mm+ horse-hide chore jacket/filson-short-cruiser-knockoff for me in Europe.

Excellent result. The jacket looks cool. We mostly see jackets in new condition here.

Jacket is looking great! Approximately how many days a year do you wear it? I have a Aero on the way in FQHH CXl Natural and can't wait to get started breaking it in.

This is looking wonderful!

I do not know who supplies the linings to Langlitz - but that would be a huge upgrade in your Aero. It's comfortable, very smooth and never "grips" your shirt, and is tough as nails.
