Hi,

this is the Limited Edition of the “Pioneer” made by Aero Leather. I currently have 5 of their jackets and I simply can’t wear them all. My lose is your win!

I have only worn this jacket for 2 winters together with my favourite Highwayman. The hide is very supple and warm.

None smoking

No pets

Measurements in photos beneath this listing.

Weight approximately 5.7lbs

Asking $825 o.b.o. shipped lower 48 or Canada

Here’s the description that Aero have on their website for the current Pioneers they are making with FQHH. (Please remember this one is made from Kudu)

“We have offered a 1950s Half Belt since the very earliest days of Aero, indeed the first Horsehide jacket we ever made was a 1950s Half Belt. For the last decade or so we've also offered a much slimmer fitting 1930s Half Belt, so the obvious progression was a 1940s version, a jacket that bridges the gap between the typical earlier and later versions.
The Pioneer is that 1940s Half Belt, a fairly new Aero design that was originally only available in Kudu. Unfortunately the Kudu hides proved uneconomical, due to heavy scarring from their days in the African Bush resulting in huge wastage in cutting. The Pioneer style, however, proved to be very popular and we've re-introduced it in Horsehide for Autumn delivery.
The cut of the Pioneer is closer to the 1950's style, offering more room for layering than the 1930s Half Belt but retaining the button cuffs from that very popular jacket The 1940s jacket is slightly longer than our 1930s version and has the most detailed back of the three, with a yoke and inverted pleat above the classic half belt. The front is two piece with a high yoke which is typical of the era.
The Pioneer is fitted with a period style Talon zipper, our new improved cinch belt buckles and a stunning flecked English Tweed all wool lining, again very true to the type used in the 1940s. For ease of use the sleeves are lined in cotton drill
This style is also available in a Wool & Leather combination.”

Please feel free to ask any questions. It’s a used jacket therefore I’m selling it as is. No returns. If you’d like any more photos Please just ask.

Thanks for looking

J

As I figured, it's a little bit big for me, but hopefully those measurements will help someone else pull the trigger. The hide looks really nice. GLWS.

Hi,

Could you put the measurements in writing, I’m having trouble reading the numbers in the foto’s.
Do you have a shoulder measurement?
Also, can you measure the sleeves as shown in picture

Thanks

Hey Thanks, unfortunately 1 inch too short for me :(
No worries. Last fall I had Aero make me a zip sleeve highwayman, which I use as my main motorcycle jacket. Holly at Aero was excellent as always and required exacting measurements for everything. Eventually the specs for my jacket were finalized and the sleeve length was 27.25”. I have to say that there is little or no difference with the sleeve lengths if both these jackets. Cheers

Bit of an expensive gamble to take, love the look of the jacket though. In a highwayman I need 27.75” sleeves
