Thank you, yes, I have also been thinking that the Jerky (or Vicenza) might also be better since I assume they're less warm (since they're thinner) so that I can wear it a greater portion of the year (layer up during winter and wear it over a t-shirt most of the summer when it's not too warm)
Goat is your best option in terms of lightness, but it won't patina much. If patina is your preference, it's jerky followed by Vicenza. This is jerky after a few months.

I'd go about it in a slightly different way... start by thinking about the properties you want your leather to have - weight, weather resistance, how does it wear (teacore or no - for some of us, the idea of buying a black leather jacket and it turning brown over time does not appeal - YMMV), all the rest of it.... then figure out what hide option(s) best suit that. If you're ready to go otherwise, can also be worth dropping Aero a line. They'll be in a position to advise which hides they consider work, or not, for a specific pattern. Having made all the jackets in all the sizes, they'll also be a position to say "no, it won't matter", or "yeah, in this size X would be better".

Hi everyone,
I had a question about jerky: does the color layer fade quickly or not?
Compared to CLX, for example

It is tea-core, so it will fade over time to brown-ish, especially in the areas where rubbing/ bending occur. but how fast depends on you and how you wear it and what you consider quick.

Yes, I see.
Actually, I love jerky when it's new, but I'm not a huge fan of the tea core concept, which develops brown spots over time. So if it's just in certain areas and it's subtle, it's fine.
