Im really interested in this leather and I can imagine how it will age with wear. Will someone please post photos of their blackened brown jacked that shows wear?

Thank you,

The Blackened Brown is still very new ...about 6 months if that. I doubt there are many jackets out there anywhere, that show any significant wear sorry

I just checked- not enough mileage on either of my blackened brown jackets yet to see any significant changes. It will probably take another half year until there's something I can photograph.

Can you see any hint of brown? What do you think it will look like when well worn?

There are some very subtle hints of brown that are starting to wear thru the surface along the seams, particularly in a couple places of constant contact. I personally think the blackened brown will look amazing once it gets a few more years on it...but good things take time.

Here are a couple of those shots:

I have sample of blackened brown from Aero and the black coating on that one is pretty hard. I have tried scratching it with nails but it doesn't show any brown yet at all. In comparison my seal jerky sample shows reddish undertones after very gentle scratching.

There will of course be differences between different batches of hides.

That’s what I think as well. I have dark seal vincinza Mariner that’s a year old and brown FQHH LHB that is well broken in and has a nice patina. I’m thinking the blackened brown will look really unique with time and wear.

That's what I was hoping it would look like. Very cool.
