On a side note, Einstein often wore suits. Just imagine how creative he'd have been in pink bunny slippers and an oversized "Frankie Goes To Hollywood" t-shirt.
I'm sure it's an urban legend, but I use to love that story about Einstein's wardrobe consisting of multiples of the same outfit so that he would use less brain space thinking of what to wear and have more devoted to his research. While I am firmly of the opinion that there are places where uniform is appropriate (not least in schools!), I don't think I could cope with wearing thesame thing on every occasion with no variation myself!
