I've been coveting an Adam Executive after seeing JohnnyPhi's auctions, but I had never, in my several years of scouring eBay and vintage shops, seen a single one in my size. I just really liked the look and the dimensions. Neat hats.
About three weeks ago, I managed to find one and win one for under $30.00 shipped. I doubt I'll ever come upon a steal like that again, believe me! It did come with a bit of a price, though - the hat was fairly mangled, but it came with the original hatbox and I was happy just to have it.
Last week, I walked it on over to South Street Hats in my neighborhood and took it to Oscar. He said he'd bring some life to it and that I'd have it in a week's time. For a reblock, clean, and stretch, he charged me all of... $8.00. Amazing.
I got it back today. Here are pictures. I think I might like it! Take note that the size and color is still written on the hatbox.
