A tale of two Hats/Cities

I recently received a very nice PM from
Skwerl-hat who had seen here that I
had found a 6-7/8 hat pork-pie that fit me nicely.

He had a nice straw hat in that size
and was wondering if I would like to have it.

I responded right away and suggested a
trade. As luck would have it I happened
to have a Mallory stingy in 7-1/8.

And so the cross country trade was on.

After an almost simultaneous mailing
at the Post Office I found this wonderful
surprise at my front door:

That is cool. I want something like that for a summer hat. The Village Hat Shop has some nice looking straws including a stingy panama that I might pick up. Congrats on the nice trade.

Im so pleased with this trade. I had that straw hat due to the kindness of another person and so i had to pass it on to someone who could use it. The hat funneman sent me is a beautiful grey/green mallory i'll have to see if i can borrow someones camera to get a picture of it. I hope this kind of cooperation spreads among the hat community its a great thing.
it was pretty interesting we mailed the hats at almost the exact minute halfway across the country.

I have to confess, since we ARE in Florida and since it's been in the 70s/80s
during the day, I've been wearing it everywhere.
