Stargate Continuum.
I saw the movie playing at the Wal-Mart this weekend and saw a scene with one of the main characters wearing a A-2 with a proper military neck clip. The only reason I know about the neck clip (rather then snap) is you guys, thanks for adding to my obscure facts and useless information library. In fact I bought the movie for that reason and by the end of the film three characters are wearing A-2's. Now the question for all of you a-2 freaks out there, Can you identify the manufacturer? Here is a link for some pictures. http://www.gateworld.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=4 page two has some clear shots.

Apology

Before someone gets offended, I meant "A-2 Freaks" with the highest respect. The power of observation strong enough to spot the different manufacturers is quite astonishing.

I'm CERTAINLY now expert by ANY means on this topic, but I'd like to place my "guess" anyway... To me it looks like an USWings Signature Series™
Cowhide VIP A-2 (New Finish).

The pocket flaps, liner and leather surface...

Regards,

Marc

Not sure about the A-2s, they look like issue USAF stuff anyway, not to be a snob, but of no interest to me....Now, this is a bitchin´jacket..:eusa_clap

Never a huge Stargate fan, but as I recall, they often didn't use USAF-issue (or exact copies thereof) clothing.

I have been looking at A-2's for a while and find it unusual to see them in any modern movie, let alone a Sci-fi.
BellyTank: So why do you say Avirex? Wondering the details you are seeing.
Senicko_Spain, yes Ba,al is a snappy dresser as well as a ruthless tyrant. A bit to Goth for my taste. I am sure abbyshot will have one available anytime soon.;)

Yes. The Goa'uld are perpetually overdressed. Particularly Ba'al (portrayed by the leather-bedecked Cliff Simon).

The A-2 on Gen. Landry is seen frequently. It's correct for the character and tends to make Mr. Bridges look less, umm, well fat. They make him look less fat. There, I and my 40-inch waist said it.

Ben Browder's "Cameron Mitchell" is a fighter pilot and a natural for the A-2. He doesn't need it for body reduction, he just looks bitchin' in it.

Good catch Johnnycanuck. Thanks for sharing.

Mark

P.S. RIP Don Davis. I was sorry to hear of his recent passing.
