Hello! New here (first time posting) but have been a long time voyeur and thread reader. I have reluctantly decided to sell some of the jackets I have collect over the years. Need to pay for tuition and I either can't wear these, or never do. Here's the low down:
1st Jacket:
1950's German or Swiss jacket? (Oxblood)
This was sold to me as a 1950's German jacket but one of the local dealers thought it could be Swiss? It has some awesome Zipp zippers that are super unique! And a beautiful mohair lining, no rips or tears. All the zippers function though there is some oxidation near the base of the teeth on some of the zippers (hopefully that makes sense?) I can try and get some better pics later. Other than that the measurements are as follows (taken with jacket hanging up):
Shoulder across back: 16"
Sleeve length: 24"
Total length (from collar seam to bottom of the back): 29.75"
Underarm (Rough): 18.5"
Next Jacket:
1940's/50's German Jacket:
Lovely black leather jacket with light patina. Has a green lining with no rips or tears. Strange fake inside pocket cover? It's like it was simply sewn on. There is no pocket underneath it and the leather seems purely decorative. Has another interesting pocket on the left sleeve. Not sure what this is for? Maybe papers, insurance, pocket watch? Not sure, but it's cool. Has Ruhr and Ritz zippers. All zips seem to function perfectly well.
Measurements:
Sleeves: 24"
Shoulder: 17.5"
Underarm (seam to seam): 19.5"
Total length: 28.25"
Both jackets are a heavy, sturdy leather. I think cow or horse. Not sure but they aren't "soft" like goat or sheep. Neither have any tags or labels that I have managed to find so just going off of research and where they were purchased and what I was told. All the measurement are approximate, I say that because I'm fairly certain they are right but am not entirely certain I did it properly. If you have any questions please reach out. I was told by the local dealer that both jackets are probably worth $500-$600 each. I'd like to get $500 Each but as I need to money for the coming semester shoot me an offer. Worst I can say is no! I've got some other items I am working on listing as well!
